how to achieve?

hi,

i am very new to photography.near to zero knowledge..
i would like to know how to acheive photo in black and white?
is it with the use of photoshop?

how to achieve potraits with blurred out backgroud?setting on aperture rite?
will the difference in lens used has any effect on it?

There are many ways to get B&W digital pictures. You can either shoot in B&W (in your camera settings) or convert to B&W in PP. There are many ways to convert digital images to B&W. The method shown in the following link is one of the better ones:
