how high/low do u set your monitor brightness?

Different models of monitors have different maximum brightness levels (amongst other things). Cheaper models also have less 'dynamic range' (dunno correct term) and less able to show shadow detail. I know because I have several monitors around the house.

Also, a monitor gets dimmer as it ages.

FYI, my current (new) monitor's brightness is at about 15%

Mine 'sory' brand, I mean sony brand, brightness and contrast set to 'full'. Otherwise can't view clubsnap pics!!!:dunno:

All adjusted using Adobe Gamma at a Gamma of 2.2. My brightness control is usually near minimum, my contrast control near max.
