How do you file your images?

I never finish a roll with a single theme leh.. so I just dump all together... not very archival.. of course I'd already scanned them into directories named thematically like Zoo091101 etc...

That's why mounted slides and digital files have a lot of advantage in that aspect. :)

Same here. I seldom archive my negs n slides.... though i noe i need to start. any1 have a better way? For digitals i also using the yyyy/mm/dd Event method. I don't like burning to CDRs too...too small space to archive large images and sometimes if burn too many might get lost. I prefer DVDR... When i get my superdrive i'll archive them in DVDs to free up space on my system.

So how do you guys differentiate those digital pictures that have already been developed into prints from those that have not?

Guess my style is messy then. I created folders for every day I go shooting to store my pics, in Y/M/D. Like,

/digicam
|- 02_12_30
|- 02_12_31
|- 03_01_01
|- 03_01_02

etc

Wanted to see as days goes by, how different my shots are. :p

For me...

Slides By Subject with Slide Mount Clear File, can store 20 mounts per page
=> I scan page by page over the light box to find the picture....

Negs By Roll with Neg Strip Clear File,
=>Because easier to find the neg since the file stores one roll per page.

Digital By Date
=> I always create a new folder "Named" after the Downloaded Date to store the Raw files. Got too many files to look after, therefore only the shots touch up by PS were kept in a separate folder.
