How do i make translucent font in Photoshop?

would like to learn how to do this cos i'm writing some letters on an image but i want it to blend into the image.

cld't seems to find how to do it. the closest i tried is gaucassian blur.


any help would be appreciated.

hmmm isit something like a translucent watermark? if it is, then you just have to lower the opacity of the text layer of yours. this is normally how i do my translucent watermark. not sure if this is what you are talking about.

lil princess is correct.

after u insert your text
press f7 to activate your layers palette, click on the text and move down the opacity scroll bar
