Nice close-ups, but I feel the DOF is too narrow to show more details, and the second one focusing isn't on the spot (eye). Overall quite nice.

You're absolutely right... should have used a smaller aperture. I'm using the Nikkor 105mm prime micro, at F/4.5, 1/800 for #1, and F/11, 1/160 for #2. Thanks for your comments!

It was also a little windy, so the moving leaf that the hopper was on was frustrating me...:angry:
