What do you think? Does the desaturated background work with the brightly coloured subject? and also which do you think is better, the before or the after?

I actually prefer the first. The second seems out of contect/place, might work with a different flower though...

the desat version looks a little forced and fake. maybe the subject takes up too much space and stretches across the frame...

if you want the flower to stand out, i think the colours in the original picture already work very well. a more blurred background would be even better
