let's not sink the whole MO ship with a few bad examples. =P

I was a medic once and my MO was a really good guy, he would give you the benafit of doubt and diagnose you first. if it persists he will refer you to our goverment hospital speicialists to check it out. If apparently it turns out you are really a kengster, he would just dump you in the sick bay.... haha... still give you timeoff to rest from the dreaded work that you hate but no Att C! And if it turns out he comes for too many "timeouts" it's good time to try IV... =p

Or is it because that i came out from the airforce? I've heard and seen many horror stories coming from army bases... didn't hear anything this bad before.... i still pity him.... why oh why.... so unjust...

SGts are the the same as MOs , go sispec come out 3 lines just that captain one is on top. So don't expect them to be super smart or got the know how to treat their men, this all depends on the person himself.

i beg to differ.

no offence to sergents, but i think most dont have patience for anything with regards to the well being of their men.

of course, i know really good platoon sarges who can go all out for them. but these are going to be extinct soon!

i dun care, i dun want to care. it's just one guy. you can care, he can care, but a particular organisation wun care, it's useless, it's hopeless. be it the lost of vision, lost of life, lost of many lives, they will claim that no exceptions must be made for the survival of singapore, be it even losing the last man. for all i care, singapore is hopeless, filled with hypocrites, liars, and more hypocrites. for those fortunate enough to escape, good, go far and dun look back. for those that have fallen into the inescapable hole of deceptive obligations, i cry, i weep, i pray for you, but it doesn't matter.

kill- to survive, restrict- for freedom, fear- induce security, this country has too many oxymoronic beliefs, so much, that i wun mind committing suicide if my life have to continue this way. but that faint shimmer of hope for change still glows lightly, be it gaining enough resources to "cowardly" escape this place, or for that particular one to change this place for the better, for i know it can't be me.

..............and damn it, will i get flamed for writing this "childish, immature, shallow, naive, etc" post? (can't think of anymore adjectives i always see in CS)

did he lose his vision or not ah?
cos i think he is looking and feeling rather fine now

Very in-depth and concise piece of writing. It is heartwrenching to know that this tragedy is in fact a reality.

I personally think that even if this guy goes permanently blind, there is no way he could challenge the SAF. At most he can only get an apology from the organisation for negligence in his health condition. Perhaps at most his few commanders in charged of him will get sacked. Other than that, there is nothing he can do the affect the organisation.

Furthermore, he is not the 1st case. There are so many death cases of NSF while performing strenous activities. But then...

from his blog, it states that he left 15% of his eyesight. and from HWZ, he suffers from tunnel vision. his eyesight is something like covering the lens and cutting a 15% hole in the cover, basically, still can see clearly, but a much smaller field.
