i switch from d70 to 350d last may. no regrets even though i used nikon for more than 10 years. the canon system is more complete and advanced.

As usual, threadstarter only get more confused than before, for this kinda topic.

Threadstarter: It would be better to go try out the camera and decide for yourself which one you really like best. In short, each has its pros and cons and this question is very subjective. Again, there's no right or wrong answer.

Either that you may try to rent different models to try out which one you prefer.
