Help with Vuescan

My scanner's a canoscan D1250U2F and when i installed vuescan it juz can't detect the scanner....keeps popping out the err msg raw scan file not found..

i've searched the web for answers and the author suggested to remove the canoscan prog from the startup menu coz thats interfering vuescan from talking to the scanner....but i went to my startup its not there leh....i even tried uninstalling the canoscan software but to no avail...

any1 can advise me on this?

Me using Vuescan with Acer ScanWit 2720 film scanner.

I need to turn on the scanner before turning on the PC otherwise the scanner will not be detected by Vuescan (or maybe even the OS).

This may be a SCSI issue. Just posting in case it may help.

Thanks for the suggestion....actually the scanner doesn't have a on off button...theres a scan button and once u press that the canoscan prog will launch and i dun really like that. oh well... wat to do....scanner not i buy one keke
 

hiak! no wonder....sigh guess i'll have to make do with the crappy canon software then
