Hi guys, im new to photography and i would love to take nightshots but i would need a tripod first. The thing is i have a rather low budget and prolly look into something that is $$100 at most. Any recommendations of an OK tripod that is strong enough to hold my DSLR. Thank You Guys.:)
Oh yeah second hand ones would be best :)

Have a look at Mustapha's...they range $20 - 30 and aren't half bad!

wah really?hmmm, ok mayb ill check it out one day..thx!

Load your longest lens & biggest flash and set your dslr to shot vertical... if your tripod don't "whop" after a light kick on the legs... then it is sturdy enough... Just my 2 cents... :)

Nikon SL-1200 tripod or similar is pretty okay just that the leg grips wont last very long if use more then 2KG setups or tend to use it as a monopod.
here is mine new travel tripod if you need something to support 10kg plus plus depending on change of head from default. http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=440904&page=2 $100-ish at a most unlikely place.

I agree with you. The tripod bro Jason is selling is pretty decent and for that kind of price, you can't ask for more, can you?
You are right if budget is exact $100 but if can squeeze maybe $40 more for an oldie....:)

Fits "Cheap and Good will not be light" exactly imo.
