What lenses do you have/intend to buy? 10D cannot use EF-S lens.

hmm... i never put that into consideration....
currently only keeping my Tamron AF 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 AF LD (IF) Macro... havent decide on oth lenses yet..

Why I am still using a 10D:

ISO:
10D almost the same or better from ISO 100 to 400. 350D just slightly better at ISO 800. 350D is better in ISO 1600. But 350D do not have ISO 3200. Also I personally like the grainy feel of 10D at ISO 800.

Handling:
I like the 10D with grip handling and 350D with grip is just like handling a toy. Unless you are a lady user which I will strongly recommend the 350D for its lightweight.

Sound:
There are times when you wish the shutter sound is as silent as a 10D.

Build:
Just less than a 1D series, definitely better than a rebel series. If you ever drop, I believe the 10D might survive but the rebel series is likely not.

9 Raw Frames:
10D has 9 raw frames and it is great if you are a raw shooter like me. 350D only has 4 raw frame at a burst although it has 14 jpeg compared to 9jpeg of 10D/

What I wish my 10D has:

Start up time:
Just wish the 10D has a faster starting up time. 2.5s is a bit long.

What I do not care:

EF-S lens:
I mainly use L lens, so I do not care. Even the new 5D don't support EF-S, I believe EF-S is a headache if you want to jump to full frame in your next upgrade.

Lightweight:
350D is so light that you think it is a prosumer digital camera but I prefer heavyweight.

Just bought a 1D mark 2 and keeping my 10D as backup (sold my back up 10D to fund this purchase).

I use a Canon 1Ds MK2 and a 350D for backup. The 350D is a very good camera. Very clean, not as much noise as the 10D. I use to have the 10D, the ERR 99 keep appearing on the screen once in a while.

350D, new technology.

I say, 350D

10D. Save the money and buy L lenses. ;)

The robustness of a 10D ..and the feature set ... i'll ask you to go for a 10D ... 350D simply feels unbalanced, crippled and weird with a large lens.

10d gives you bigger grip feeling
350d too small to hold

Its a tie.....but go for the 350D because of its newer technology if you don't mind it's incredibly small size. However the 10D is more rugged.....can bring for cross-country photography...

i vote for the 10D for good feel, good build and good price. just a question guys. .which of the 2 cams has a better AF system?

im using the 350d and the AF system is really quite disappointing esp under low light conditions hmmm.

I'd dare say the 10D ... 10D is still considered prosumer class..

I'm using a 300D and i'm feeling the AF is slow after trying out the 20D with a 70-200 non IS ... the AF amazingly still locks without much effort

The 300D, 10D and 350D all use the SAME AF system. No change, no improvement. 20D is good for f/2.8 lenses... but some people in DPReview are saying the focusing accuracy is poorer than the 300D/10D/350D system for f/1.8, f/1.4 prime lenses.

i am using 10d so i can tell u that if u shoot night with long exposures dont open shutterr for more than 30sec coz lots of white dots will appear in the black night sky.
dunno abt 350d on this.

Honestly, if I'm u....
Save up. Get a 5D. Which is what I'm working my way towards... slowly... slowly.

I voted for the 10D cos I feel its a good camera. :)
