I assume you also want to get your marriage registered and recognised in Malaysia, are u? Since you have already registered your marriage in ROM here, there is no requirement to also register your marriage to be recognised back home. A marriage certificate should be recognised anywhere.

Bring along the original ROM cert, NRIC for both and photocopies. Proceed to Malaysia embassy and there is one or two counter that handle this. Do note that there is a certain fee (sorry cant remember how much)(Also if I not wrong, the counter only operates between 8am - 12pm).

I remember clearly that if a malaysian ROM elsewhere, they have to report to embassy and register, if not, he or she might ganna penatly. (within one year starting from ROM date)
