Great Egret

I was actually trying to shoot a group of Snowy Egrets when this guy flew in.

EOS 20D
EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS @ 400mm, handheld
f/7.1, 1/800 sec, ISO 200, Aperture Priority
Cropped slightly.

Sorry for the overexposure, no time to dial down EC.

Thanks, people. I tried to recover the highlights (I shot in RAW) but not sure how much can be done in PP. Should have metered better, but this was literally a swing the camera around and shoot moment. I managed to only fire off 2 shots as it went by, and the other shot had it half out of the frame. Shooting it near mid-day doesn't help either (I was there for some nature program with my kids).

BTW if anyone is in the SF Bay Area and needs some suggestions for nature excursions / places to shoot, I'd be happy to suggest places around the Bay.
