Other than showing off your shots in clubsnap and some other forums, where else can your photos go ? So that the $30 opportunity as a bouns. Until your shots becomes "1 shot 1 kill" type , where there is a Q for them asking for autograph, or syndicate it to the press for publications - i think this statement would be rather unfair to the host.

If you are in for the $$$, go for wedding shoots lor. I am sure the angpow from the couple and their family will more than recover your cab fare and perhaps your equipment's depreciation....

But not everyone in the shoot is in for the $$, just the comarde sprit and the fun of trying something different.

My only 2 wishes is that it doesn't rain that day and that my lens & I dun get hit by a golf ball.... maybe wise to bring my Nolan helmet along & my Daniese armoured jacket.....

$30 to buy a photo of a shot of teeing off?

though i know both you and John, i must say this is ridiculous. for all the money into the gear, should the shutter jam that same day, that's probably just enough money to cover taxi trip to the camera service centre, and not including even replacing the shutter.

maybe you might want to add to the context of the shoot, i'm sure there are many more who are thinking like me.

Hi all here are the details for the FAS golf shoot this sunday

meet me (john C) outside the lobby of the laguna national golf and country club at 10.30am on 12 december, (sunday)
The Guests and SM Goh will be arriving at 11-30 - 12pm we need to be in place by 12.30 for the 1pm tee off.
I will be conducting a detailed briefing at 11.00
you will all need to be at each of the 18 holes to photograph the one paid picture of the sponsors and their A board.
then we are free to walk around shooting great golf pictures, please then meet back at the clubhouse and download that important image and receive CASH $30

As the SM and others are going to be there I need to know a: Name, b: NRIc so that security can be advises asap
