if you like to shoot wide angles and can afford the 17-55, I'd go for that because you have the versatility of the 2.8 and a 3x zoom. However, if you think 17mm is still not wide enough, than have to go for the 10-22 since that's your other options that can give fantastic picture on aps-c (but won't be much of general purpose IMHO)
