Hi
Here is a photo of Ganges, the Himalayan Griffin Vulture at the Bird Park.
This Fuji Hawk walk is one of the most difficult places to take photographs
of birds in Flight.
System: Nikon D2hs, 200-400 @ 200MM F4, ISO 400, Shutter Priority: 1/2000,f4.8
Mode: 8 FPS.
I cropped off the top wing as it was missing some feathers and decided to emphasize
the head , lower limbs and claws instead. Getting focus on the fast moving bird
and waiting for it to lift up its wings is extremely difficult. I'll go back again
with a 70-200 lens instead.
However , it is one of the best places in Singapore to hone your photography
skills. Don't forget its among the top 3 in the world and people come from afar
to visit it.
For those of you who are keeping this vulture at home, maybe its time you
release them to the birdpark so that they will be much better off there than
in your house because as they get older , they will become more and more
aggresive and disobedient.
Allan
