i am now using a G5, but i feel like changing to a 10D.

Do you guys think its worth the upgrade / investment? :dunno:

but in resolution sense, its only a 5mp to a 6.3mp...

and also, i got quite a num of add on for G5.

If you asked this question, IMHO you should stick with your G5 until you HATE shooting with yr G5.

change because of the SLR functions in 10D

Of course!!! Why didn't I thought of that? Its always the function thingy.

So do you actually know what you need that the G5 doesn't give you? Do you really need those extra functions the 10D gives you?

What kind of functions are you looking to ?
Are you prepared to carry heavier gears ?
Spend more money on lenses ?
Maybe you should try handling a 10D first (if you haven't) before buying it.

i dun really mind carrying the extra stuff for the camera.

but one thing i am concern about is the cost of upgrading. i am aware that the price does not includes those 70-300mm lens, and alot of other things... which is why i still have not made my move.

where can i go to have a trial test of a 10D?

Join the SEEDS ? see if got anyone brought a 10D there and ask to try ? heee...
Or any of the photoshoots (etc.. Azure's outing).. if anyone uses 10D, also can ask to try .. ;p
Or this sunday.. I going to Ang Mo Kio to shoot flowers with my fren in the morning.. if you want.. can meet up there, then can let you have a trial of it.. heee ;p (pm me if you're interested)

As always before any equipment move, ask yourself: are you prepared to spend the extra money? What is that the new equipment able to give that the old one cannot?

Of course, if you just want to satisfy your equipment lust, it's good to know getting the 10D body is just the tip of the investment iceberg.
