G3 for S$1000?!?!?

I was walking at Lucky plaza and being a busy body, I ask ard for the Canon Powershot G3.
After asking some stores there is one store called Digicam & Electronics offering 1000 WITH GST!!
Apparently he is selling without warranty as in the camera is export goods.

Was wondering wats the diff? Is it worth the risk to buy this?

When I ask another store who is suppose to be theeee offiicciiaall dealeerr he scolded me abt the price.. basket. I was quite pissed.

i think getting a warrantied goods is very important, especially for electronic things like camera.
i'd go for a local set with warranty if i were you.
i think one can be had for around 1100 bucks.
what's a hundred bucks compared to having a peace of mind?
