Just wondering anyone still using Soviet-era rangefinders?

To me, all FSU cameras are like MI-24 Hind or Kamov Ka-50 - unrefine, ugly and sometimes hideous (ie. http://www.flickr.com/photos/siimvahur/3566487013/). The cost of those cameras not worth visiting to a CLA and getting a really good one is like go buying a 4D.

But personally I really like them and has place in my heart. They are really a breath of fresh air.

I love my Zorki 4 :)

Kiev 4 and helios 103 is on their way from Ukraine

you should start a thread... "show us your Russian RF gears"!

i like the kiev 4, bought from TS

imo, the kiev 4am is a contax IIa camera with modern twist, the hot shoe works with modern flashes.
the kiev 4am is quite light and paired with the ultra sharp helios-103 makes it a very nice rf.

Really interested in those Russian cameras! Anywhere to get it locally?

Just received this from Ukraine in the post. :)

There is a funky smell from the 'leather' need some airing and cleaning.
Works fine too! Lovely piece of rugged stuff.
