Hi... for event photo taking.. any advices?
1. Type of lenses used
2. Accessories required.. flash?
3. Assistance?
4. Camera default setting?
5. Others
Thanks
Recently shot a 5-day long exchange programme as holiday work. My set up was as such:
Gripped Canon EOS 400D (with two battery packs, one spare)
EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (kit lens)
EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM (mainly used this lens because of its great focal length range on a 1.6x crop body)
Canon Speedlite 430EX
1. It all depends on what you are shooting. If you have to take indoor photos without flash, you most certainly need a lens that can do f/2.8. If it is event coverage, a lens with a good focal length range so you don't have to change lenses often.
2. Extra batteries are a must. Flash depends on what you shoot. It's a good idea to carry one with you for a fill flash in any case. Don't forget extra AAs for the flash. And remember to charge rechargeables. And extra memory cards also.
3. and 4. both depend on where you are going and what you're shooting.
5. Get a comfortable camera bag. Especially if you're shooting for long hours. And wear comfortable shoes.
Just sharing what i've learnt from my short experience.
