Lambency is a popular cheaper alternative.

Go to the mass sales forum and you will see the alternatives for original stuff like Stofen, Gary Fong, etc.

Price is often half or a third of the original.

Try the ABBC option too, buy some white and black foam follow the abetterbouncecard.com website video instructions.

compare lumiquest (various config that comes in the pack), stofen soft box, without light modifier. compare them in direct and bounce config also.

ABBC is quite good. i have been covering indoor events with it pretty well. You can check out Spotlight at PS for the soft foam paper. only shortfall is that when i'm doing night outdoor / black celling shoots, i lose a lot of power flashing with it.

anyone knows what flash is used by events photographer at clubs like zouk? :dunno:
