Fireworks

I have done many multiple exposures involving the covering of the lens but i usually just use a black coloured paper. Anyone knows where I can get a black card and how much is it?

it call black card but actually any color will do
it just to cover your lens
when it is covering your lens there should not be light pass in and without light any color should be black :dunno:

btw i use manual focus to infinity
af may not work when the sky is dark and with no bg

Do you guys pre focus on the fireworks "opening" or manually focus at infinity?

Turn off the autofocus and lock it at infinity. Most SLRs will not be able to focus quickly enough even if the fireworks happens to coincide with the focus sensor.

what I usually do, Infinity Minus a bit... always use something of approximate distance to benchmark...
