Have bought a 2nd hand D70 from a friend of mine for a year plus liao.
Been useful when travelling. Decided to get some seriousness with this hobby....

Will be purchasing AF-D 50/f1.8 very soon....
After that will be smething like 200mm / 300mm kind.

Hopefully can meet up with some folks (laojiao) here to learn more about this hobby.

Welcome to CS.

Just keep reading and practising...

As for lens choices, consider carefully and your first choice is a good decent one.

Welcome to CS!
What lens(es) have you currently got with your D70?
If it's the kit lens 18-70, that should be sufficient to take most shots. Any reason why you need the long reach of a telephoto lens?

On the cheap, consider either the 55-200 or 70-300. :)
