HI,

Am planning to get an external storage...maybe @ this IT show 07

I am running both Mac OS X and Windows XP @ home...

Looking @ size of at least 200GB or more....

Anyone has any good recommendation...was look @ something like this one:
Maxtor OneTouch III, USB 2.0/FireWire 400 (500GB)

Based on what I have on my harddisk, my disk space should be out by 3rd quarter of 2007...

thanks..cheers....

Get a good HDD case that support MAC (FW) and PC (USB2).
Select yr choice of HDD from your preferred brands.

Use yr MAC to format the HDD, so that is able to use on both platform.

Do you have a home network? If you have, go for a network drive.

I use a network drive. I have both Mac and PC at home. With the network drive, both the Mac and PC can access the drive at the same time. I do not have to plug and unplug the drive from the computers.

Shouldn't it be use your Windoze to format the HDD? Mac can read FAT32 and NTFS format, Windoze cannot read any of the Mac formats natively. But if you use NTFS, Mac cannot write to it, just reading.
