Experts/Experienced/Old Birds - Kindly advise... Canon 550D Vs Nkon 3100

Oh ya..as mention by one of the bro in CS here D5100 is coming i am also wondering if should wait for D5100.. the specs looks impressive and hopefully is cheaper than the 550D lol

A qns also come to my mind, for cameras will the first batch cause problems? Of cos i rather use a model which is tested...( pardon for my newbie-ness)

Comparing the D3100 and 550D is not really a good comparison. 550D definitely will be bigger because is a more serious entry level model and D3100 is just a basic entry level one. D5100 would be a better comparison.
