enlighten me on these

hi there can some one enlighten me on these panasonic teleconversion lens 1.4x.
seems like all i got are blurry pics. using a panasonic FZ1. at 12x zoom
p mode

if i dun use the tele conversion lens, everything turns out ok
maybe im not using it rite

the teleconverter is of low quality.
U try zoom out, take a pic with the TC on again.
It should look better.

like if the tc lens is faulty/wrong settings/or im juz plain newbie

wow cant imagine panasonic live without leica .....
they produce lens at such low quality ???

Because when u zoom in, you're using a smaller area of the lens to fill up the whole frame.

And since a smaller area of the lens is used, any defects in the lens will be magnified.

This is why the quality looks low.

When u zoom out, you'll be using a larger area. Thus the small defects are not that noticeable.

This is called "lens resolution". The higher the resolution, the better the lens, the sharper the image. That is why pple are willing to spend so much $$ for a piece of canon L series glasses.
