EM1 with 12-40 kit is $24xx, can't beat the Qoo10 deal some time ago though. EM10 also can't beat IT fair deal either.

Don't make much sense to come out with 1.6k just to get the EM5 at lower price. But I think it make better sense to get the package and sell off the em5 and 40-150. That will make the 12-40 to be $900 or so?

Thinking of upgrading my EPL-6 to EM-5 but the 12-40 is a big lens to go with. Defeat the purpose of having a small cam. Recently, rented a EM-5 and compared with the same lens mounted managed to shoot with 1s with EM-5. The advantages are:-
1) Same size as EPL-6
2) Additional button for F stop
3) Additional button to program for ISO settings.

Is there a EM-5 Elite silver?

EM5 elite is a black colour with matte speckled paint job (same as EM1, nikon etc), leatherette covering (same material as the silver). No silver version.

12-40 is definitely bigger and heavier than the primes, that's the beauty of m43 system, can transform depending on what the situation demands.

just buy the elite EM5 and use it, next year upgrade to new maybe E6 body, is it a better deal compare to em10?

What is the retail price for EM5 elite now? EM10 with 40-150 around 1090 now

$900 for brand new is quite ok I guess. One guy quoted me $1100, claiming that quite a few wanted to pay him $1000 and more for his BNIB de-kit 12-40 lol

Anyway at IT show they threw in a free 45/1.8 for the EM10 bundle so i'd feel quite shitty to get a worse deal lol.
