ELICARlens2.jpg

specs

aperture is a bit small but price is relatively low for its range :rolleyes:

@F10-F20

For this range, shoot what?..maybe if digital sensors allows for ISO6400 and above to be like ISO400 from 300D now...then worth considering...

Then again, you might get better results from stacking two 2x on a 600mm F2.8 IS. :dunno:

yes... at f10-20, this lens is definitely not going to perform under low light

of cos if i hav the cash i will go for the 600 IS :think:
seems like its only sellng at less than $1200 in HK ;p

there have been lenses similar to this from companies like Vivitar or Phoenix or Samyang ( or something like that ) for a long time, ranging from 600mm - 1000mm+. All for just a few hundred dollars.

These are basically telescopes. The concensus of people who have tried it is "Don't bother - its a waste of money". Poor contrast, poor resolution, washed out colors, and unuseable unless under the brightest light. Better to spend some money on a real 400/500mm lens. The focal length is nowhere as good, but the results are loads better.

whats with the TWO red rings around the lens man...
double the L quality is it?
:bsmilie:
