Dust on sensor?

is there dust on the sensor? im using an Olympus E-500

Don't look like dust to me. More like noise. What was the ISO setting and shutter speed?

yeah.. looks like noise.. noise is always more prominent on solid coloured surfaces.. so u'll notice it easily.. dust is more like big blur spots on the photo.. not speckles...

ohk great, cause the "speckles" are coloured, so im not sure if its noise.

Its noise. It happens when you take long exposure shots without NR (Noise Reduction) turned on. NR is on the second page of the first item on the menu panel.

ohhkay noise? thats great, was afraid it was dust. But why is noise in colourful red,green etc colours. i thought it'll just be specs all over the dark part
