Hi all,

I still a newbie to Macro. C&C please. Taken using CanonG5 with Raynox DCR250 macro filter at Botanic Gardens (finally found one among the many many photos that looks sharper):

Drunk Spider trying hard to stand straight...

Thanks for viewing.

Did you crop the photos? The spider is sharp in front of the eyes as the focus is in front part of spider. Nvertheless good attempts.

Thanks for the comments, Qazwer and airforce1.

Yes, I did crop the photo to improve the composition. I did notice it seems a little OOF also. Thanks for pointing out. I'll try to work on that.

thin DOF, very identical to Ortega's style. Nice.

I think you have to post a bigger pic to let the viewer enjoy the beauty. hehe

Hey tltan, you hit it right on the nail.. I'm a great fan of Ortega's macro shots. Trying to squeeze out as much as I can from my limited equipment and skills :embrass: But Thin DOF is really very challenging as it is tough to judge which part of the tiny creature is really in focus. I'll try to find opportunities to practice more to justify my DCR250 purchase ;p
