can anyone help me with this...

situation: I have 400images in this folder. Each of them is 2-3MB...
wanted solution: I wana downsize all of them to smaller filesize around 1.5-1.8MB. But I dunno how to.

Currently, I am using PhotoShop 7 on PC and PhotoShop CS2 on MAC.

Please help!

not sure about photoshop cos im a PS nub. but if happen to have ACDsee Pro (not sure about the normal edition) you could simply do a batch resize and set the save quality, either the resolution / megapixel of the resized pic.
but if you want to reduce the size of the file while maintaining the resolution, my guess is you just have to resave it in lower quality. just set the resolution of the photos in ACDsee and reduce the save quality. (not recommanded as this could cause jpg artifacts) :thumbsd:
 

There is a batch processing function in Adobe Photoshop 7. It can be found in Under File -> Automate -> Batch

However, you will need to create an Action so that the batch processor will know what task to perform
