Do you all use 3rd party lens?

Cos its cheaper and deliver similar quality (or sometimes better). With at least 90% of the image quality/functions at 50-70% of the cost.

Anyway, being a hobbyist and amateur, I probably would not be able to make use of the full capability of a 3rd party lens, let alone an original lens.

My current kit has two third party lenses Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 and Voigtlander 58mm F1.4 SLII which gave a similar or better performance than the original lenses. The Tokina is quite sharp wide open and is built like a tank. The Voigtlander on a crop body gives roughly 85mm which is the sweet spot for portraits. Just compare the price of a Nikon 85mm 1.4 to this and you'll know the answer

Yes, previously own a Sigma 18-200mm DC OS for general walkabout purposes. Main reason is still COST.....
Aiming for the new Sigma 18-250mm now.....
