Do I need a Dry Cabinet?

I always keep my DSLR and lens in the bag, in a cupboard in my Lab, which is always at less than 25degC and 40-50% humidity. I suppose these conditions are ok? We have a akarui digicab that shows 40% on its analog hygrometer, but when I place a digital hygrometer in it, it shows below detection limits. Happens??

No need dry cab if the humidity stable at 40-50%RH.
