Parisilk quoted that price just after the L1 was launched in Oct 06 when CP was selling it at $3,299. So maybe the retail price has since dropped and Parisilk might be selling well below $2.9k now. ;)

i have L1 and still using it. It has many functions that other DSLR don't have. 100% Live view, bounce flash, retro look, etc...

I am not very sure of that. :dunno:

I knew there was a release of its firmware update recently.

As for the AF, I think its fine to me. I did a test on this cam for a couple of weeks. Its fine to me except for its write speed.. As for the body; it is almost "identical" to the Leica's. We call it a "replica" among us.

Anyway, happy shooting khairi.:)

Ps. I am looking to get this camera for a birthday gift to someone..;)

A couple of months ago Jn 3:16 @ Funan tower had a use unit going at a very low price. Not sure if it's sold yet.

For this price, many would have chosen the Oly..;) Anyhow, I am looking for a used/new L1 for a birthday present.:(

If you are in S'pore, then drop by there and have a look. Else you can get my E-500 at a bargain.

No uncle Tomcat. I prefer the E-330 to the E-510. I sold my earlier E-330 for this E-500 but I could not get use to it. I have since gotten a new E-330.
