JimDavis, eow & ivan, Glad you like the picture. This picture teaches me a lesson...always, always bring your tripod. I did not bring mine out yesterday so had to get myself dirty :embrass:

And dun forget to bring the tripod head if your tripod has a separate head that you need to carry, that was a lesson learned by me during the May day firework shooting, I brought my cam, gloove(as usual), bag, waterbottle, tripod, reached the site then realized that the tripod head was in my car!

I shot without a proper mounting tripod, though most of the photos came out quite ok, but could be better if I have the tripod head....

For this photo i think u crop it too tight liao... show more... heee...

hmm..I always crop to 3:2 format for print....Perhaps should just leave it...
Any suggestion on how to crop it for print, please?
Here is the original pic, uncropped just resized only. This is a close-up shot, the logo is small though....
Thanks in advance.

For cropping, you can preset it in PSCS.

Just select the crop tools, you will see the option change the width and height. Resolution will depend on your printer. The setting can be saved in PS.

4R is 4inx6in
5R is 7inx5in

Cheers
John

Actually i was just crapping... cos wth shadow to see more of the chair is nicer... rather then just the logo... maybe different style... cos i dun like to take pictures too tight... later got no room for creativity...

For printing, the printer I went to advised the following:

4R - crop to 4"x6" at 1200pixels x 1800pixels
5R - crop to 5"x7" at 1500pixels x 2100pixels

Set resolution for both 4R and 5R to 300dpi. I think you're good to go with that setting. Hopes this helps.

Simply go to ur multiply. Click on the image which allow you to view 640 x 480 size which is bigger. Then U right click and choose properties.

Then under URL, you be able to see something like : http://images.josephteo548.multiply.com/image/1/photos/6/600x600/23.JPG

Highlight the url and copy it.

Don't give up, Joseph!

Multiply doesn't allows linking of photo, that's why.........

Try Panasonic online photo site... It allows you to link photo to share....

You can view the pic on another site. Like the one I posted. Either try photobucket or Panasonic photo site. I do wish multiply allows direct linking... Got lots of pics there.

actually, most of the newer photo labs are able to print in 4:3 format. just tell them you want it in digital prints. the only problem is, you'll have 0.5" extra from the top; it wont fit standard sized albums.

Thanks codling. Do you happen to know which lab prints in 4:3 format. This save hell lots of time cropping... At least I get my full pic back!

almost all labs that can take digital media should be able to print 4:3 if i m not mistaken.

alot of CSers go to konota at peninsula ground floor.
those Fuji Digital Imaging labs should be able to print 4:3 too...
in the Consumers section, can check out Miao Lan and Grace labs, KT Digital Imaging...they have a couple of threads discussing about pricing and the quality. apparently, they even do deliveries, but of cos, there's a minimum order.

i did mine at parkway. there's 2 labs facing each other. the one nearest the basement entrance uses noritsu machine (if i didnt remember wrongly). you can pass them your pics in a cd rom. not too sure if they take mem cards but i reckon it shouldnt be a problem. oh, one thing to note, for the parkway lab, they charge extra 5 cents for white border (some places, its free.) minimum of 10pcs, 40cents/pc.

That's strange, I printed most of mine at Parkway Fuji lab. They use Konica paper. It's 3:2 print. They crop my pics like no body business le. Saw the guy doing it. he crops very fast some more! Have not tried Kodak lab though.

huh, really? which Fuji lab? i went there the last time but didnt manage to locate the FDI lab.

the shop that i went to uses kodak paper i think...
i ask the lady before passing her the cd rom for printing. she inserted the cd into the pc terminal, then all my pics were displayed...
she even showed the area of the pics if i wanted 3:2...
so i told her i dont want it to be cropped. paid extra for white border...
