Difference betw Canon 500D filter and other screw on type close up macro filter

tot the reply might be useful for others.. ahem and to clear the air Canon 500D is not the latest DSLR body! :bsmilie: well at least not yet

hi bro, can i hv some advise from you regarding close up filter?
saw a canon close up filter selling at 200 bucks while another guy selling hoya close up filter +4 at 15 bucks?
y it makes so much difference?

look at it this way
lens all also pieces of glass in plastic
why some so expensive some so cheap.

its the lens quality and construction which enable to make it take better picture
..

but the amt u pay depends on what u nid.. and what photoshop can't rescue hahaha

any1 wans to add on?

its a double element close up filter, apparently much better than the single element run off the mill hoya ones. plus, its 77mm threads, its a pretty large hunk of glass.

The Canon one is really alot sharper.
