massive and impressive.
i believe it needs DVI to trasfer that amount of data from the comp to the screen.
but its really nice and gives one alot of viewing space.
its so big that you will have to somewhat acount for some viewing distance... that is positioning the lcd slightly away from you to enjoy it.
so take note of table space.

I think you need the latest graphic card like GeForce 7800 then can support it WQXGA 2560 x 1600 resolution :sweat:.

there was a long thread on dpreview talking about the dell 30". In the end, I just got myself the 24". whilst nice, I just couldn't justify the price of the 30" ;p

Anybody knows if there are any display sets in Singapore? Any shops reselling Dell products? Would like to see personally how good this display is...

May be you can check on IT show (9-12 March) at Suntec. They may display there. Dell also have a small dispaly corner in Suntec. Seen the 24" LCD there, not sure about 30" one.

the display at suntec only 24". but it'll give you an idea. the 30" is supposed to be even more awesome

You will need new graphic card for the 30" to support the resolution.
You can get 2 x 24" for the price of 1 x 30" and have them side by side.
That should give you a bigger view area.
