If the 30L has the same area dimensions as my 50L, I fit my 70-200 + 400D gripped (hood reversed) diagonally on the second shelf. It will not fit with a body (or hood in place) without it being stored diagonally.

Yap, lay flat straight in, need not be diagonal as the length is 215mm vs 300mm (cabinet depth) with reversed lens hood.
