Nikkor ? $2650 with nano coating

What is there to suggest? They are a perfect match. Took this pair out on my first ever outing of my D800 and it is all thumbs up:thumbsup: Will bring it to the Gardens tmr:cool:

Thanks. Was wondering if there are any non nikkor options considering this lens has no VR

The new Tamron SP 24-70 mm f2.8 VC.

Last weekend just tried with Tamron 24-70 VC

At full time you never notice the VC had turn on, Cause won't feel the stop.

The AF perform an quiet and faster with accurate.

Distortion wise in the 24mm wide still have some heavy distortion.

From the rear mount built can see inside the comportment and without sealed an same as 17-50mm VC.

There is not need hide. Cause your never blow some air inside the rear optics.

Color image output an not as rich like Nikon G version, but it is sharper image output on wide open from 24 ~ 70mm.

This focal lenght don't really need VR.

None of the non Nikon version comes close in terms of performance.

Don't think the Tamron 24-70 is sharper than the Nikon version...

Nikon version already very very sharp ley.. to be sharper... will mean oversharpen liao.
unless, you never calibrate your camera properly with the nikon version.

Tammy 24-70 users be careful... one inner element is just glued on... (not sure they fixed this issue on your version yet)... if shake too hard... can become "tilt-shifted" variant...
