OK, so where do you recommend?

Go AP SLS only during weekdays and best in the afternoons! Avoid peak hours (Same applies for CP IMO)! :bsmilie:

I highly recommend John 3:16 in Funan. Lately, AP has been getting some comments that they tried to rip people off.

Go JOHN on Weekdays ... Ard 12 + ....
He is too popluar liao ... So mani ppl crowd ard him .... :D

But service is still excellent, and you can test the cameras for as long as you want to... They understand what a big investment it is.

@ John 3:16, I normally deal with Sam.

I just wonder how many here have real good hands-on experience for a "in-the-know' comparison.

IMHO,
1 just search and read and listen with open mind.
2. if you have not played with anyone similar slr before - let you touch for a while - you also cannot assess some of those finer considerations that has been advised.
3 both brands are reputable
4 pick the one you like best now and dun look back again and compare

Thansk again for the help.

Any Idea what price the D80 is going for at John 3:16

TK photo is the best! get the d80 from there. very good price.

Sorry who is TK Photo and where are they?

The D80 attracts me becuase of the 135mm lens Vs the canon kit lens which ain much good.
Question is could I or should I get the canon body and use the extra cash for a decent walk about lens or go with the D80?

For EOS 400D/350D kit: Purchase-with-purchase EF 55-200 II USM lens at just $399 (U.P. $490). Available at point of sale

Just brought a D80 from Alan Photo $1816 (incl GST).

Time to play :D

hehe... Pentax K10D!
