Thanks guys.....Will probably bring it down to the council for a check.....
:D

know what, my collegue's D70 hangs last night during the Start of DnD  . He was freaked out. He told me it hanged before but recovered the next morning by itself.

Acordding to manual to use another lens , set to M and dial the Aperture setting. But didn't work. In the end he borrowed a A70/75 to shot, one hand holding his D70 :bsmilie: :bsmilie: . Too bad my 300D wasn't there :blah:

Could the lens need rechipping like the Sigma ones?

Quick fix: most of the time when the camera acts funny, it's power related. Next time your camera hangs again, switch off camera, take out battery and wait for the microprocessors in the camera to clear. Put back batteries (if you can, change to a new set) and try again.

fyi, this applies for both digital and film AF cameras.

we did, even poke the small reset button below the camera. But still the same.

Roughly how long do you thing the mocroP will be clear if removed the battery?

:dunno: Try a few minutes? Though I've seen to read elsewhere you need to let it sit overnight, but I might be wrong...
