D4s Preview and Hands on: I AM SPEED

Don't think I'll ever be able to afford this camera. Let's hope that the Df2 will come with the D4s sensor. ;)

I have downloaded the NEF files and opened it with NX2.

The file ( DSC_0421.NEF) is very malleable, the colours are very smooth. After AWB and color correction, the skin color looks great to me. There is some luminance grain at the transition and shadow area (hair) but I cant see any chrominance noise. ;)

For a ISO25600 shot, this is marvellous,

This is great to know! I have not opened the NEF files yet. I might do it tonight. Thanks for the update and info bro.

Definitely very impressive, :o. I opened it in NX2 and it was able to read all the camera data & settings.

Here is how it looked like after some very minor tweaking. Added black point and white point, reduce the exposure to -1.

The luminance and chrominance is very low to begin with. With minor adjustments the noise is all gone from the transition & shadow area.

The fine details on the eyebrow and lashes are all there.

I am dumb struck for now!!!

Thanks to Albert Lim aka DD123 for the access and the permission to download the file.

Simply fantastic! I did not play with the adjustments much because I have to post very straight forward pictures. It is tough out there in the interwebs, especially now this thread is shared all over the world.

Just received 2 jpeg results converted from the RAW files from an NPS member in the US who wished to remain anonymous. Very impressive results indeed!
