Everytime I copy photos from my Mac laptop to my Windows based PC, there will always be file that become corrupted and cannot be opened.

Why is this so and is there a solution? :dunno:

I use either a HD or a CF card as an "in-between" the two systems

how does it get currupted?

can try burning it to a CD as a go between
or start a cross platform network

i had a similar problem. then i realised that something on windows was "doing" something to the file as it gets copied over, causing the file to be corrupted. in my case, the file size blew to a standard 1mb+ size file. i narrowed my problem then down to one of the nikon or microsoft software/photo plugins that i was tryingout. uninstalled some and it worked. nvr fully understood why.
