Er, ok, what's the best way to avoid condensation in lens? I experienced the problem on the latest trip, where my cabin (on a cruise ship) was like relatively cold, but not that bad, and then when I go on the deck my lens just fogs up and I can't do anything for quite a bit.

And the best part is, I had been on the deck for half an hour already, before taking out the camera.

Will anything bad happen to the lens? Condensation was inside, I think, but went away after a while, got fed up and opened it on deck to expose it to the surrounding air for a while.

Thanks for your replies in advance, will file it away from future reference.

wrap your camera and lens in a plastic bag. Heat the bag up with ur body heat before bringing out to the warm area. That should help prevent the condensation.

Oh yeah, that'd avoid quick temperature shifts indeed.

Thanks, will try next time.
