Controlling Colour from Capture to Print
"In this presentation, Steven will introduce the concept and techniques of colour management - from profiling your camera through to controlling your print output, with particular emphasis on displaying correct colour in the editing environment. He'll look at how you set up your digital workspace to display the full range of colour and tone captured by your camera, and how to manage your workflow so that the output from your printer matches what you see on the screen.
This programme is designed for photographers at all experience levels, in fact all those who edit their images and would like a better understanding of controlling colour in the digital darkroom."

About Steven Hamilton
Colour Management Specialist
Steven has more than 30 years of commercial experience in photography and colour management. He has been a consultant to the Australian Defense Forces, Australian State Police Forces and a large number of both State and Federal Government Departments. His work has been widely published over a large number of media mastheads, as well as book and magazine covers.
Steven spent over a decade with Canon Australia as a dedicated photographic specialist providing high level training in professional capture and print technologies. There his talents were recognised with Canon’s best of the best “Shogun” award in 2009.
A member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, Steven’s talents as a photographer have seen him run a successful freelancing business covering a wide gamut of work from commercial and advertising through to portrait and wedding.
Steven is in constant demand as a photographic tutor and lecturer. He has most recently completed a series of sell-out colour management seminars throughout Australia and New Zealand. He is currently engaged as the official Colour Management lecturer at the Singapore International Photography Festival.
