Hi,

anyone can advise what's the differences for the clear & cloudy lightsphere ?
which one to get for portrait ?

Thanks

Cloudy for portraits.

try googling the 2 products. i've seen samples there.

ok, what i found after googling,

"Choose the clear version for fast action, large groups and dimly lit
scenes. Switch to the new Cloud Photojournalist for the softest,
warmest light yet. Great for close-ups, portraits and events."

If you are shooting portrait in a typical hotel room w/o any additional light,
would the Cloudy be sufficient to light up the subject ?
or need to go for the Clear version.

what actually Gary Fong says is ask you to buy two, and use the right one for the right situation.

why don't you buy the clear and get some tracing paper to wrap it if it is too harsh.

Good idea.

Can also buy the Cloudy and line half of the inner circle with reflective aluminium foil if not strong enough rite ?
