Cleaning kit: get one of those microfibre cloth, and a good blower brush. For general cleaning, I tend not to use lens cleaning liquid..cos it can corrode the coating of my (cheap) Hoya filter. Just breath lightly on the surface and wipe gently with the cloth. Make sure the cloth is not dirty. Be careful about the mirror in the camera.. don't scratch the coating on it. Also when blowing, I tend to hold my stuff upside down, ensure that whatever is blown off don't fall back onto the lens.
Lens: Play around with your zoom first. See what sort of perspective you like. Do you tend to stay at the 28mm end? The 70mm? Or in the middle? Once you find your particular, can either go for primes or zooms in that particular category (telephoto, normal, wideangle). Or if you have specialised interest, ie. macro, then can also get a macro lens. I like using primes (light, superb quality, and because I can't afford the pro-level zooms
), so I have a 3 kit lens set: AF-D 24/2.8, AF 50/1.8, AF-D 105/2.8. An alternative set might be 20/2.8, 35/2.8, 85/1.8. Since you are using a manual cam, you can pick up the manual versions of these lenses at a reasonable price. If you like zooms, a possible wide angle zoom might be the 18-35 and a telephoto a 70-300 ED.
Note: nikkor G-lenses wouldn't work with your FM3A.
Have fun!
