(First time spending so much time with photoshop...)

Much better bro, Having fun with ur 135 DC yah? ;)

i like #1 alot for its composition and feel

hi aspenx

if u are at RAW, go to Capture NX2 under Camera Setting, go to picture control - set the image to Portraiture instead of Vivid or Landscape mode.
Check the difference in skin tone.

I was already halfway through doing that when I saw your post. I don't usually use Portrait Picture Control actually... Thank goodness I'm using the supposedly improved version of the picture control setting.

Not very fun cos I've had it for about half a year now (?) but have no time to shoot...

The 35mm f/1.4 is still one of my most favourite lens~

Ok. Anyways, here's the newest version:

Not really my style, but is it better? Or slightly too red?

I've had enough of pp for today... I need to get my priorities straight.

To me, it is not just better, it was perfect . . . . .

Now, if you have the time, do the same for No.2 . . . . . ;)

First time joining a shoot and first time posting in this part of the forums.
Just posting to share a photo each of the models.

Thumbs up for #1, composition is very nice, model looks great. I would have just remove the bit of leaves at the top left hand side.

Where is this place? I'll love to shoot there too!

Thanks.

The pics were all taken somewhere near Queen's Close.

Hi Aspenz,
beautiful photos. btw, your 35mm, what's that 'ai' stand for?
It could be me, but it seems that there is a bit of a front focus for your shots- the rocks slightly in front of the model seemed to be in sharper focus than the face (for all the photos). what do u think?

:) nicely done

Thank you.

Ai stands for aperture indexing, from the 70s era of Nikon manual lenses.

It's just you. The focus is actually tack sharp on the face. However, the veiling effect inherent in this lens design at f/1.4 might have led you to think otherwise.

P.S: Even though it's just a nickname, just want to clarify that it's "aspenx" and not "Aspenz".

Christine again, but with a more natural look.

#1 is very nice. Love the composition and colors.

Interesting PP you have done. Just watch out on some unnatural color cast.
