Hmm the pics looka little flat and washed out. I'd avoid using the flash unless you can bounce it. Also try not to cut of ears/paws unless it helps draw more attention to the eyes/nose/body part you wanna highlight

Yeah, like madmartian said, a bit washout, also it was cropped very tight. maybe push back a bit?
