I had this question in my mind for a while.
We do store our lenses and cameras in a dry box. How about our film scanner? Do we need to do that? It does have lens element and CCD and it will be subjected to fungal infection. I had mine (Nikon Coolscan 4000ED) lying on the desk for 1 year plus already although I use it almost weekly. I wonder do I need to send it for cleaning?
